Very well put! Now that we know how fragile our freedoms are, hopefully we'll become more vigilant in protecting them. Our federal government has some very worrisome ideas about civil rights, but I'm glad to see progress, and I'm grateful to my fellow Canadians who pushed for it. (Politicians' repeated avowals that it had "nothing to do with the convoy" are just comical. Whatever you need to tell yourselves, guys.)

Very true, Karen. Generally I've felt Canadians have been far too unconcerned with liberty, which is why I found the convoy such an inspiring and noteworthy development. Let's hope that spirit proves enduring!
